Netlify vs Vercel pricing

Both of these are in Developer tool, and we read both pricing pages the same way, with the same reader. Everything below is what each page printed on the day we read it. Both pages read on 1 Sept 2026.

We check each page about once a day, so this is a daily reading, not a live feed. Prices are copied as printed, never converted and never averaged.

The two pages

Tier by tier

Rows are lined up by position on each page, not by tier name, because the names never match across two vendors. Row 1 is the top tier on each page, row 2 the one under it. Where one page has fewer tiers than the other, the row is left blank rather than paired with something it is not.

  2. Row 2

  4. Row 4

The entry tier

Netlify is the cheaper of the two at the entry tier: $9/month on Personal, against $20/mo on Pro. That is $11 less, 55 percent below Vercel.

Both figures are for the whole account, per month, so they are like for like. This is the cheapest paid monthly tier we can read on each page. Free tiers, quoted tiers and per-unit rates are left out, because none of those is a figure you can put next to another company's figure.

  • Netlify shifts enterprise CTA from generic 'Contact Sales' to specific 'Book a demo' on pricing page.

    Netlify20 Aug 2026

Netlify shifts enterprise CTA from generic 'Contact Sales' to specific 'Book a demo' on pricing page. Why it matters: • Suggests Netlify is optimizing sales funnel for faster enterprise deal velocity-moving toward self-service demo scheduling rather than open-ended inquiries. • CTA change indicates they may be seeing better conversion rates on demo booking, a signal of matured sales processes for larger deals. Positioning & Sales Motion: - Removed 'Contact Sales' link (generic inquiry) - Added 'Book a demo' link with specific demo-pricing-enterprise tracking parameter - Implies shift toward structured, demo-first sales engagement for enterprise prospects What to do: • Audit your own enterprise CTA performance; test whether 'book a demo' outperforms 'contact sales' on your pricing page. • Monitor Netlify's demo booking flow to understand their enterprise qualification and sales cycle improvements.

  • Netlify pricing page updated with cosmetic reCAPTCHA verification image changes only.

    Netlify18 Aug 2026

Netlify pricing page updated with cosmetic reCAPTCHA verification image changes only. Why it matters: • No material pricing, plan structure, or feature changes detected. • Competitor positioning and go-to-market strategy remain unchanged. • No immediate competitive threat or opportunity signal from this update. Cosmetic Updates: - reCAPTCHA verification image set changed from 'bus' to 'crosswalks' prompt-purely UI refresh with no functional impact. What to do: • No immediate action required; continue monitoring Netlify's pricing page for material changes to plans, pricing tiers, or feature positioning. • Focus competitive intelligence efforts on more substantive product or pricing shifts rather than verification UI updates.

  • Vercel rebrands Edge Config to Global Config across all pricing tiers

    Vercel17 Aug 2026

Vercel rebrands Edge Config to Global Config across all pricing tiers Why it matters: • Positioning shift suggests Vercel is broadening the perceived scope of this feature beyond edge-specific use cases to appeal to broader infrastructure needs • Renaming may indicate feature maturation and expansion-competitors should audit whether their own edge/global config offerings are sufficiently differentiated • The terminology change ('Global' vs 'Edge') could influence buyer perception of feature capabilities and use-case applicability in competitive evaluations Features: - Edge Config renamed to Global Config - Edge Config Reads renamed to Global Config Reads - Edge Config Writes renamed to Global Config Writes What to do: • Audit competitive positioning of your own configuration management features-ensure messaging clarity around edge vs. global scope to differentiate from Vercel's repositioning • Monitor whether Vercel expands Global Config capabilities post-rebrand (read/write limits, latency SLAs, integrations) that could affect feature parity claims • Update internal battlecards and sales materials to address the rebrand in customer conversations to prevent confusion during competitive deals

  • No material changes to Netlify pricing page detected; reCAPTCHA verification prompts refreshed.

    Netlify16 Aug 2026

No material changes to Netlify pricing page detected; reCAPTCHA verification prompts refreshed. Why it matters: • This is a routine security/anti-bot measure refresh with no pricing, plan, or feature implications. • No competitive threat or strategic shift to monitor. Security: - reCAPTCHA verification image set updated (cars → bus prompt rotation) What to do: • No action required; continue normal competitive monitoring.

Both pages were read on 1 Sept 2026 by the same reader, so the figures above are two prices from one day rather than two prices from two moments. Prices are copied as printed, never converted and never averaged, and a vendor can change a page any time after we read it. Open both pricing pages before you act on any of this.
